 General Policies
We are open from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.
At Bangor Pet Resort & Spa, we care about animals, and we take steps every day to make sure all the pets that visit us stay healthy. One of the ways we do that is by requiring that all pets be up to date on their shots. On your first visit, please bring vaccination verification. Or... if you need one less thing to think about before you head out on vacation, just have your vet fax them over to us.
- Dogs – rabies, distemper, bordetella
- Cats – rabies, distemper, feline leukemia
We have an emergency plan in place at no extra charge to you. All we need is your permission and the name of your vet.
Grooming Policies
Did your dog meet up with a skunk? It happens... as do other unexpected mishaps that challenge groomers. So, if your pet rolled in a mud puddle, managed to become excessively matted, or just doesn’t feel like being cooperative, we’ll have to spend extra time getting him clean and pretty again. That means we’ll have to charge you a little extra – beyond our posted grooming rates. But your pet will come back to you looking – and smelling – great!
Stuck at the office or at a kid’s ballgame? Don’t worry! If you’re unable to pick up your pet by 5:35, we’ll take care of her. We’ll feed her dinner and give her a warm bed for the night – and we’ll just add the boarding charge to your fee.
We understand that life happens. And that means that sometimes you may need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. We simply ask that you notify us in advance when you can’t come in.
 Boarding Policies
Check-in is anytime after 7:30 am, and check-out time is 3 pm. We’ll be happy to keep your pet longer for an additional charge. Just give us a call to make arrangements.
Flea! That’s a four-letter word at Bangor Pet Resort & Spa. We care too much about our guests to put up with those pests. So, we check each guest for fleas upon arrival. And if we find even one tiny flea, we apply a flea bath (that we’ll add to your services and charges) before we show your pest-free pet to a fresh, clean room.
Our guests love to stay with us because we...
- give them daily treats
- supply them with a variety of clean chew toys
- supply clean, comfortable bedding – washed daily
- take them for a short walk after breakfast
- make sure they have plenty of opportunities during the day to get outside
- provide extra pampering… like the time we spend going on nature walks, cuddling on the couch, and playing games
If you would prefer that your pet not have treats or chew toys, just let us know.
Canine guests with the proper temperament are invited to join our doggy daycare group any day we have room – for no additional charge.
Daycare Policies
We accept puppies as young as 6 months and dogs up to 9 years old.
It’s important that our daycare dogs get along, so we pre-screen all prospective clients for temperament.

Even then, we check each guest daily for fleas upon arrival. And, if we find even one tiny flea, we apply a flea bath (that we’ll add to your services and charges) before your pooch joins his daycare pals.
Every day from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm, we have quiet time for the dogs. You’d have to see it to believe it! Please help us keep things calm – and let sleeping dogs lie – by scheduling drop-offs and pick-ups before or after those hours.
